Getting kids to and from school quickly and safely should be a key priority for Government.

In April 2019, the Barr Labor-Greens Government cut dedicated school buses to a significant number of schools. Many schools remain without any school bus service at all.

The Barr Labor-Greens Government has ignored the outcry from parents to bring back dedicated school services. The Barr Government has put dedicated school buses as the last priority in their service hierarchy – for the many families who rely on these services, that is simply not good enough.

A Canberra Liberals Government will prioritise dedicated school bus services, and reinstate lost routes where school communities want them back.

Many parents have made it clear that they want dedicated school services for their children. The Canberra Liberals believe in making life in Canberra easier for families. Parents deserve peace of mind when it comes to getting their kids to school.
